Catedral de la Encarnación de Málaga

The cathedral was constructed between 1528 and 1782 on the site where the city's main mosque had stood during the eight centuries of Muslim domination. Building on the cathedral began in the first half of the 16th century and continued throughout the 17th and 18th century, although it is still unfinished as it is missing the top part of the main facade and the south tower is incomplete.

Parroquia Santiago Apostol Malaga

The oldest church in Málaga, built between the 15th and 18th centuries on top of a mosque. It doesn't look like much from the outside (I almost didn't go in), but has an impressive interior. Note also that Pablo Picasso was baptized in this church in 1881.

In this parish of Santiago, Picasso was baptized on November 10, 1881
