Here is a portion of a page from the passenger manifest of the SS Neckar, which departed Naples on March 13, 1903, arriving New York (via Hamburg) on March 27.  Line 6 records the arrival at Ellis Island of my great-grandfather Pasquale Francani (age 27), en route Pittsburgh.  The name changed to Franconi, then Francona - I have cousins with all three spellings.
